Sweden Women's 2009 WFC Champions
The seven best teams in the A-division; Sweden, Switzerland, Finland, Czech Republic, Russia, Latvia and Norway and Australia as the winner of the B-division are directly qualified to the WFC 2011 played in Switzerland.

The total attendance in the World Floorball Championships was 19 051 spectators and the WFC Final was watched by a record number of 4521 spectators in the ABB Arena.

Hermine Dahlerus , Emelie Lindström and Karolina Widar all broke previous Women's WFC records.

 
Iran and Indonesia new IFF Members
For the first time the IFF has reached over 50 members when the Iran Floorball Association was accepted as the IFF Member number 50 and the Indonesian Floorball Association as the IFF Member number 51. The continuous growth in the number of new member associations is important in order to reach the IFF vision of having 100 members by 2020.
 
Floorball needs to stress its unique character
- The fight for entering Multisport is tough and the sports need to emphasize their strengths and unique qualities in order to be evaluated as attractive for the Multisport events orgaisers. Floorball's appeal to Youth and the core countries can be considered as interesting markets for the World Games , Mr. Jan Fransoo , the ARISF President emphasized in the IFF Presidents' Meeting.
 
Women's U19 aiming for TV
The 4th WU19 WFC will be played in Olomouc, Czech Republic 4th - 8th of May. The main arena is the University Arena with a spectator capacity of 1 500 spectators. The organisers are aiming to have televised matches from the Championships and the Official web page will open in January.
 
Top players in WUC 2010
7 mens and 6 womens teams has now joined the World University Championships which makes a total of 13 teams. The goal is to have 16 (8+8) teams registered before the deadline on the 12th of January 2010. All the top teams will play in the WUC with their best possible roster.
 
Interesting quarter finals in WFC 2010
The World Championships 2010 are for the first time played with 16 teams including quarter finals and the IFF Central Board has made the decision that the top 5 ranked teams in the WFC 2010 will be directly qualified for the Men’s World Championships 2012.

 
Floorball Village in ispo 2010
The Floorball Village will be organised for the 4th time in the winter ispo in Munich, 7th - 10th of February 2010 with exhibition matches, penalty shots and Zorro shows as well as speed shooting for the visitors.

New Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) rules 2010
TUE applications need to be sent to IFF 30 days in advance of the competition (previously 21 days), otherwise there will be a late TUE administration fee of 100/CHF.

Other changes in the 2010 WADA Prohibited List:
Use of inhaled salbutamol and salmeterol for treating asthma becomes easier (DOU). Pseudoephedrine is considered a prohibited substance (Aerinaze, Cirrus and Duact).

 
Last day for Transfers
The last day to complete an international transfer is Thursday 31st of December. The signed transfer form and receipt of the payment must be in the IFF office latest at midnight CET.

The interational transfer period is between 1st of May and 31st of December every year.

 
Registration for WFC 2011
The 8th Women´s World Floorball Championships (WFC) will be played in Switzerland in the period 3rd - 11th of December 2011.

The registration shall be the IFF by hand latest on the 31st of December 2009.

The material presents the Floorball player profiles from the beginning, the past and the present, giving a face to Floorball.
